Australia has been voted the number one travel destination across the Asia-Pacific region zccording to a survey conducted by Nielsen on behalf of Visa International.
Over 4500 people from countries Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Korea, Honk Kong, Taiwan and India were surveyed on their future travel intentions, each survey participant gave their personal "must visit" top 5 destinations. Australia came in at number one with 63%, the top five is as follows:
- Australia, 63%
- Singapore, 42%
- New Zealand, 41%
- Japan, 40%
- India, 27%
Interestingly Australia came in at either number 1 or 2 for each country surveyed, according to the Pacific Asia Travel Authority this will mean a growth of 3.4% annually to our tourism industry.
